South Belton

Case study South Belton, Dunbar, East Lothian

This install was started on 9th May 2011 at Ian Rennies farm at South Belton, the accommodation is rented and the install will give the tenant the benefit of the solar install in terms of electricity while the landlord will collect the feed-in to return his investment.

The install ended up being 15 on 230 watt Yingli panels which the client chose over the Romag panel which would produce marginally more electricity but at a slightly higher price. As an alternative the 265 watt Panda from Yingli would have improved the amount of installed kw to 4kw in 15 panels but the module is still awaiting MCS clearance.
