Domestic PV

Never before have we had such an incentive to become involved in generating our own electrical energy at home. It has been announced that on the 12th December 2011, the Feed In Tariff wil be reducing to just 21p per kwh from 43p per kwh. The managing Directors of Of PV Roofs have said not to worry as we have got new installation prices to ensure customers will still benefit from solar PV panels. PV or Photovoltaic panels, to give them the correct term, are manufactured from heat soaked glass and have mono or polycrystalline. They are formed from one or two layers of semiconducting material usually silicon. When light shines across the cell it makes an electric field, the stronger the sun the more electricity is generated. Even if there is no direct sunlight onto the panel, as long as there is daylight, the panels will produce energy. Once the panels is on the roof, there is no maintenance involved what so ever, so you can forget about the panels and enjoy the income.

If your property roof doesn’t happen to face south, we can provide ground mounting systems for your garden or land that can be placed to face in the best direction to produce the most energy. We do this using either the K2 mounting systems or the Renusol Suntubs.

Roof mounted panels can be on a clip and rail system above the roof or can be flush mounted into the line of the roof. In line can be done using modular panels in identical row dimension to the existing tile or can be in large module panels flashed into the roof. At www.pvroofs .co.uk we can do all options. The panels can be placed on the roof either portrait or landscape depending on the roof type or size.

Generally for a 4kw domestic installation with a South facing roof and a pitch of 35°, the panels are likely to produce around 3200kwh per annum. However one of our previous installations has already produced 2971kwh after a period of only 9 months, exceeding our expectations and on course to over produce by 25%, generating not only more energy into the house, but also receiving more from the feed in tariff and more from the energy companies.

If you are interested in solar PV, but are concerned about the prices of installations, many of the banks and loan companies are very supportive of green energy, therefore offering customers loans to help them invest into home renewables.

We can offer you an over the phone quote which involves looking at your site on a world mapping system  and then establishing shading, roof cover, type of roof finish etc.. at your site. From a telephone conversation we are able to input into the software your co-ordinates and accurately predict the amount of on-site generation you will achieve by selecting various array sizes, the bigger the array the more power you will generate. We prepare a detailed report which will present our findings.

Income opportunities with www.pvroofs.co.uk exist, give £100  for the first  successful lead which eventually becomes a sale and £50 for  every subsequent introduction.
