Race Day
After a stressful couple of months in November and December in a race to complete all PV systems before the feed in tariff dropped on the 12th December 2011, Simon and Andrew treated 16 of their staff to a morning of go-karting in Tranent before returning home for a Christmas meal.

The track which we were racing on.
The races were set out in the format of a grand prix which gave everybody 5 opportunities to win as many points as they could to see if they could make the final. The young apprentice joiner of the company appeared to be winning all of his races so he was clear favourite to win the grand prix after only a few races in, although it wasnt him who managed to get the fastest lap.

The young apprentice racing over the bridge in first place a good distance in front of his competitors
With points being deducted from many racers for inappropriate driving, bumping into other racers intentionally etc, and leading up to the final, the race was now anybodys as points were getting closer and closer between them. However standing in first position still going into the final, was the young apprentice but with others only few points behind.

The finalists lined up on the grid and ready to race
The final race was 12 laps meaning anybody had time to fight for first place but 9 laps of the 12 in first place was still the young apprentice, but unfortunately after a slight collision between the first second and third place, he got pushed back to third place ending the race in that position.

First second and third place on the final podium after each winning a bottle of wine.
